List of Biosphere reserves in India : Biosphere reserves in India is the important part of India general knowledge. There are 651 biosphere reserves in 120 countries, including 15 transboundary sites. They are distributed as follows:

137 in 24 countries in Asia and the Pacific
297 in 36 countries in Europe and North America
122 in 21 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean

Location : Part of Wynad, Nagarhole, Bandipur and Madumalai, Nilambur, Silent Valley and Siruvani hills in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

2. Nanda Devi (Area : 5860.69 Km2)

Location : Part of Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Almora districts in Uttarakhand.

3. Nokrek (Area : 820 Km2)

Location : Part of East, West and South Garo Hill districts in Meghalaya.

4. Manas (Area : 2837 Km2)
Date of Location : 14.3.1989
Location : Part of Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Barpeta,  Nalbari, Kamprup and Darang districts in Assam.

5. Sunderbans (Area : 9630 Km2)
