Water is known to the greatest natural resource of the whole of humanity. It is a precious gift to our life on the earth from God. Life is not possible without water. It is one of the basic needs of life. We need plenty of water every day for drinking, cooking and washing. It is necessary also for the cleanliness of homes and hospitals.
We can understand the importance of water in our lives as per the availability of the water on earth. Everything on the earth requires water like human beings, animals, trees, plants, insects and other living things. The three-fourth surface of the earth is surrounded by the water yet contains a very less percentage of the clean water. So, the problem is with the shortage of clean water which may end life here.

India has built many dams for irrigation, but its water management system has not received due attention. We are told that water crisis has touched millions of people across several states. The over-use of groundwater has pushed down the water level far deeper below. Arsenic contaminated water made the problem more grave.
Clean water is a very important component of our life, so we need to conserve water for future safety. It the only solution to save water that water should not waste it unnecessarily. If we save water; we will save life and save whole world on the earth. We should join our hands together and make a promise of using water according to need only without contaminating it.

We should turn off the tap when you brush your teeth. We should place a cistern displacement device in your toilet cistern to reduce the volume of water used in each flush. We should Install a water butt to your drainpipe and use it to water your plants, clean your car and wash your windows.
