विभिन्न प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं में Cloze Passage से संबंधित प्रश्न पूछे जाते हैं। इसमें एक गद्यांश या अनुच्छेद (Passage) दिया होता है, जिसमें पाँच से दस तक रिक्त स्थान होते हैं। प्रत्येक रिक्त स्थान के लिए चार विकल्प दिये रहते हैं। उनमें से सबसे उपयुक्त शब्द, जो दिए गए गद्यांश को Grammar, Structure और Meaning तीनों ही दृष्टिकोणों से Meaningful बनाता हो, वहीं उसका उत्तर होता है। यह सभी प्रश्न IBPS Bank (PO and Clerk), NDA, CDS, SSC (CGL, MTS, LDC), MBA, Hotel Management, MCA, UPSC, BEd Exams आदि परीक्षाओं के लिए उपयोगी साबित होगें।
