IIM's Common Admission Test (CAT 2012) will be conducted from October 11
to November 06, 2012 coordinated by the
Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
The sections are:
Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.
Once a section ends, aspirants can no longer go back to it. Aspirants will be presented with the section on Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation first, followed by Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. Candidates will be given 15 minutes tutorial before the commencement of the main exam.
The sale of application forms will start from July 30 to September 17, 2012. Candidates can register from July 30 to September 19, 2012. The CAT 2012 results will be announced on January 09, 2013.
The CAT is an all India entrance test for admission to the IIM's and other reputed institutions across the country. The new entries in 2011 included six IIT's, Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
The test is designed to evaluate the management aptitude of a students by testing his analytical and communication skills. It demands up to three to four months of intense preparation. The test is open for all graduates.
