Incorrect :
He helped I in time. Correct :
Me am going home. Correct :
This pen is my. Correct :

One must do her work. Correct :
Note : यदि one किसी वाक्य का subject रहे तो वाक्य में his, our, your, her का नहीं वरन् one का ही प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Incorrect :
He and myself went there. Correct :
Myself will do it. Correct :
Note : Relative pronouns (myself, yourself, itself इत्यादि) को subject की तरह प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए।

Incorrect :
I and you have done it. Correct :
He and you went there. Correct :
I and he liked it. Correct :
Tom, I and you ate sweets. Correct :
Note : Pronoun के प्रयोग के लिए आप '231' का नियम याद रखें, अर्थात पहले second, third और फिर first person pronoun प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Incorrect :
You and I have done your duty. Correct :
John and you wanted his money. Correct :

Note : फिर '231' का नियम याद रखें तथा ध्यान रखें कि–
‘When a pronoun refers to more than one noun or pronoun of different persons, it must be of the first person plural in preference to the second, and of the second person plural in preference to the third’.

Incorrect :
These two boys help one another. Correct :
These three boys help each other. Correct :
Note : Each other का प्रयोग दो व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं को सूचित करने के लिए होता है; one another का प्रयोग तीन या तीन से अधिक व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं का बोध कराने के लिए होता है।

Incorrect :
Any of these two girl is your sister. Correct :
Either of the five boys will do it. Correct :
Note : Either of (दोनों में कोई एक) का प्रयोग दो व्यक्ति या वस्तु को सूचित करने के लिए किया जाता है; किन्तु any of (कोई) का प्रयोग तीन या तीन से अधिक व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं को सूचित करने के लिए किया जाता है।

Incorrect :
Neither of the six can succeed. Correct :
None of the two girls is very tall. Correct :
Note : Neither of (दोनों में से कोई नहीं) का प्रयोग दो व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं का बोध कराने के लिए होता है; किन्तु none of (उनमें से कोई नहीं) का प्रयोग तीन या उससे अधिक व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं का बोध कराने के लिए किया जाता है।

Incorrect :
Let you and I try. Correct :
The Principle wants to see you and I. Correct :
Note : I का objective case me होता है।

Incorrect :
Your’s truly. Correct :
Your’s is the best painting in the school. Correct :
Note : Your में’s जोड़कर your’s लिखना गलत है, उसकी जगह आप yours लिखें।

Incorrect :
The climate of India is hotter than England. Correct :
The streets of Karachi are wider than Mumbai. Correct :
Note : यहाँ India के climate की तुलना England से नहीं वरन England के climate से है; उसी तरह Karachi के streets की तुलना Mumbai से नहीं वरन् Mumbai के streets से है।

Incorrect :
Your pen is better than that of mine. Correct :
My book is cheaper than that of yours. Correct :
Note : यहाँ mine से my pen तथा yours से your book का बोध होता है। अत: that of mine/yours का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता।

Incorrect :
Tom is older than me. Correct :
Sita is taller than him. Correct :
Note : पुराने grammarians older than me/taller than him को अशुद्ध मानते हैं तथा older than I/taller than he को शुद्ध। किन्तु modern grammar में older than me/taller than him भी सही माना जाता है।
